Thank you for your interest in Sedbergh, a school like no other. With 90 students and 1,200 acres of hills, forest and valleys, education takes on a whole new meaning for our students. Since 1939, boys and girls have been coming to Sedbergh as impressionable young people and leaving as responsible and caring adults who have the education and life-skills to contribute positively to our global society. As a university preparatory school, most of our students attend their first choice university following grade 12 or CEGEP after grade 11. Pursuing a wide range of courses and programmes, Sedbergh graduates enter a variety of professions and occupations. A Sedbergh education is experiential and integrated. Our teachers and staff take advantage of all teachable moments wherever and whenever they appear. We recognise education is a lifelong journey which isn't restricted just to the classroom. Through adventure, challenge, physical activity and environmental awareness, Sedbergh students learn tolerance, team-work and social responsibility. A Sedbergh graduate is one that cares about the world and those who populate it. Sedbergh accepts students from a range of academic and socio-economic backgrounds. Individuals come to Sedbergh because they want to succeed and they recognise they must play an active role in their own success. Those students who choose Sedbergh love activity, particularly outdoor activity and they also want a boarding school that feels like and in many ways operates like a family. We recognise Sedbergh isn't the right school for every student. Please take the time to peruse our site regularly and you will understand how Sedbergh can offer your child an Education of a Lifetime.
